Two quick book tips

SEO BookMy good friend Kris, King Pepper, Jones of Pepperjam recently wrote a book on SEO called „Search Engine Optimization: Your Visual Blueprint for Effective Internet Marketing“ – and it finally hit the shelves!

Inside the cover you can read me say about it
This book provides valuable information on search engine optimization and Internet marketing from one of the thought shapers of the business. Kris Jones offers specific instructions on how to improve your Web site ranking through proven strategies in SEO and social media optimization.

And in less formal talk -> it freaking rocks! I´m really not that big a fan of SEO Books, since once they´re out, they´re most of the times already outdated… there´s just no single good book on SEO out there, I´d seriously recommend. Especially with so much great blogs out there, who cover the topic way better then any book! Well, up until now, cause Kris really managed to write a great book! He gives hands on advice on how to

– Analyzing your competition
– Researching and analyzing keywords
– Developing your link building skills
– Settung up blogs and communities
– Using Google Analytics
– Networking with Facebook and others
– Boosting traffic with Digg and StumbleUpon
– Setting up PPC campaigns
– Discovering ways to monetize your traffic

and much more… and all in a great really visual approach! Lots of screenshots and exact how to´s make it pretty easy to reproduce the learned stuff. It goes from pretty basic to more advanced stuff, and I think even advanced SEOs can still pick up some valuable tips along the way. I really enjoyed it! It´s only 30 bucks (thanks to the dollar only 21 euros over at, so give it a try!

And another book tip -> Philipp Lenssen of Google Blogoscoped (who was actually on one our earlier shows of seoFM 1 1/2 years ago) just wrote a book for O´Reilly on Google Apps Hacks (here´s the site) – didn´t have the chance to read it yet, but I´ll definetly check it out – and so should you 🙂
