Get ready for A4Uexpo Europe in Barcelona!

As you may know I´m a huge fan of the A4Uexpo Conference series ever since they started in London back in 2007! Matthew Wood and his fantastic team really know how to put together a great conference! After being guest in Munich twice, A4Uexpo Europe is now moving to the beautiful city of Barcelona for what promises to be the best A4Uexpo Europe ever! A4Uexpo Barcelona is taking place on the 19th & 20th of June – mark your calendars!

I had the opportunity to ask Matthew a couple of questions about the upcoming show in Barcelona ->

Matthew Wood

1. Why has a4uexpo moved to Barcelona?
In keeping with our pan-European ethos, our European expo encourages growth of the Performance Market across many territories and in turn keeps a fresh feel to our annual conference,
In keeping with our pan-European ethos we like to mix our chosen host territories up across the many vibrant cities Europe has to offer. Following a successful inaugural event in Amsterdam, followed by two even better years in Munich, we’ve set our sights on another growing Performance Marketing territory for 2012 in Spain, and Barcelona certainly fits the billing.
As is typical with our events, a4uexpo Europe has continued to attract delegates on a global scale, and in order to keep things exciting and fresh plus the chance to bring a taste of pan-European marketing to a growing market, we like to change our surroundings from time to time – and we’re sure you’ll love what Barcelona has to offer in June!
It’s a chance to continue cross-border collaboration and produce our 4th European expo in a new city but with all the usual benefits our Performance Marketing Conference has to offer, and i’m pleased to say there’s a lot more to look forward to in 2012!
2. What can we expect to see at this year’s event sponsors, sessions, features, networking?
We’re excited about how much industry development we’ve seen since a4uexpo 2011 in Munich. This time last year we were discussing social strategies, retargeting and datafeeds as new avenues, however come June we’ll be discussing the latest social commerce integration, attribution strategies and mobile commerce development at the very least! |This continuous channel development enables us to pull together a show that offers new and improved industry technologies, a host of new companies within our conference agenda and across our exhibition space, the latest trends and techniques for increasing conversions, plus a growing trend of international and multi-territory SEO, Paid Search, Programme Management and Affiliations.
Couple all our budding content with valued support from sponsors already signed up for 2012, which include platinums Affilinet and Zanox plus new Gold sponsors Google Affiliate Network (watch this space!) exhibiting alongside a host of new start-ups, publisher’s, advertisers, agencies, networks and technology suppliers – the innovation and excitement will be evident across our two day show.
As always and in-keeping with our optimal networking opportunities, we’re improving for 2012 our speed networking, networking receptions and the (ever legendary) official middle-night party, where you can continue to build and re-affirm relationships in our relaxed environments!
We’ll continue to keep announcing our new for 2012 features throughout the coming weeks – so keep an eye out for news on A4u and our a4uexpo blog.
3. Who will be there?
Publishers small, medium and large, online, offline, mobile and agile! Innovative and creative agencies, European networks, advertisers from all ecommerce verticals, brands and stores, technology suppliers, mobile specialists, display and retargeting specialists, e-mail marketers, genuises in search, data crunchers and analytics suppliers, panda haters and conversion experts (to name a few!) While we haven’t released the agenda yet, you’ll definitely want to keep tabs on the @a4uexpo Twitter feed and sign up to the newsletter at the bottom of the a4uexpo Europe page. We’ll be announcing some great content in the next couple of weeks that will be aimed at both blue chip brands, start-ups and seasoned Performance Marketers.

See you in Barcelona!
